About The Tree

Rich and Scott have been consumed by the bicycle for many years. Between them, they have raced, repaired, tuned, designed and manufactured bikes and bike parts. They have also helped others learn how to ride and progress their skills.

Working alongside each other in a previous bike shop life, jaded by corporate constraints and the fundamental lack of understanding of the bicycle rider, they had a vision.

They resolved to open a friendly, independent everyman bike shop stocking quality bikes and parts from the brands that they knew delivered. Within the shop, they wanted to create a unique culture and environment – professional yet relaxed, selling services and products based on knowledge, experience and more importantly, enthusiasm, where customers are considered friends and their feedback shapes the product offerings.

They also wanted a shop with a strong community focus, organising regular shop rides, skills clinics, basic workshop classes and a commitment to supporting local trail advocacy groups. Ultimately, they wanted to open a proper bike shop!

Tree Offerings

• We sell all manner of bikes, parts and clothing, understanding the needs of all cyclists. We know that buying a bike is an investment and needs to be right.
• We repair all bikes, build wheels, service suspension and happily build custom specification mtb or road bikes.
• We have demo bikes to try whilst you wait for your bike to be serviced. We’ll probably have some rental bikes over the summer months too!
• We support all of the major cycle-2-work schemes, and we’ll work directly with your employer.
• We have coffee!
