2018's S-Works Turbo Levo sees some significant improvements from last years model, most notably the improved motor that delivers 15% more power than the previous version, the Levo has always set the benchmark for eBike builders. The 2018 S-Works Turbo Levo has been carefully crafted using the most advanced carbon technologies and engineering that come with all of their S-Works bikes. Featuring ultra-short chainstays for nimble handling, a low bottom bracket that makes the bike feel glued to the trail and a roomy top-tube for an easy-fit and even more control, the Turbo Levo is a trail bike, just with a little extra oomph! The Carbon frame gives a 600-gram weight saving, compared to its alloy siblings. The updated 1.3 Specialized motor delivers 15% more power than the previous version, resulting in a true trail performer that is hard-matched due to its natural riding feel which has notable improvements to its climbing abilities on the steepest of trail sections. Paired with the powerful 504Wh battery, this bike gives you all-day riding capabilities, allowing you to explore further than ever before. Another addition to the 2018 model is the included handlebar remote, which gives on the fly changes to the assistance level of the motor. The remote also includes a walk mode, and an innovative 'Blitz' button which launches you into the most powerful mode in one press! Battery levels are viewed directly from the LED indicators on the battery, negating the need for an expensive display. The bike is however compatible with Garmin and other types of GPS device, as well as having the ability to link to your smartphone via the Mission Control application. Specialized have specc'd this bike with dream parts. SRAM's XX1, 11-speed drivetrain pairs perfectly with the choice components of this bike. Built with a dedicated 1X philosophy, the XX1 is lighter and more durable than any other. The XG1199 10-42T cassette is wide enough to get some serious speed, whilst still being able to pull away easy enough, working in partnership with the electric motor. The XX1 system has been designed with a no-compromises approach and is most certainly the perfect offering for a bike of this stature. The Code RSC hydraulic disc brakes features a powerful 4-piston alloy caliper with 15 & 16mm diameter phenolic plastic pistons with a forged alloy master cylinder and lever blade. This set-up has a larger fluid volume for superb consistency and gives you the maximum possible confidence on the trail, being a truly reliable set-up. 200mm discs at both ends of the bike ensure that this bike can stop swiftly. As with any S-Works build, you would expect a carbon wheelset, and the Turbo Levo is no exception, with a pair of Roval Traverse SL 27.5 hand-built wheels. Fitted with 27.5×2.8 Butcher tyres the bike feels nimble and very well planted on the trail. The bike is finished with a Command dropper seatpost with up to 125mm of travel which many riders have come to expect as standard on trail bikes.
